The Bootstrap America Program

Every dream starts with an idea. Whether it’s small—like sewing clothes for the neighborhood, or large—like dreaming about a computer in every household, it starts with small steps. Bootstrap America is a program of steps which lead to a door that can open to future possibilities.

Bootstrap America is a faith-based organization utilizing biblical principles of providing for the poor, working hard and repaying debt.  Churches, other non-profit organizations and interested individuals will participate in the process of identifying low-income, community members to apply to the program.  The business owner is not required to be a member of any church or non-profit organization.

These organizations will also provide mentors to work with each business owner.  Mentors come along side to help provide accountability, encouragement and motivation for the business owners.  This mentoring process will help ensure that borrowed funds are used for the stated purpose and that scheduled loan payments are made.  For more information, click on MENTORS.

The Bootstrap America program includes three basis steps:  STEP IN, STEP UP and STEP OUT.
