Training

Business mentors will be trained by Bootstrap America and  will, in turn, share their knowledge and skills the business owner.  Training materials are based on sound business principles and licensed from My Own Business, Inc™ (link below).  Each business mentor receives a 269-page workbook to use as a resource. 

Training is offered in a seminar format and includes the following modules:

  • Deciding on a business
  • The business plan
  • Basic communication tools
  • Business licenses, permits and rules
  • Finance, accounting and cash flow
  • Marketing
  • Producing and delivering the goods
  • Startup checklist
