Volunteer To Make a Difference
Volunteer mentors have the opportunity to give their time, talent and business expertise to new business owners.
Churches and other non-profit organizations participate in identifying low-income community members to apply to the Bootstrap America program. The business owner is not required to be a member of the church or non-profit organization.
Volunteer mentors from these organizations as well as other interested individuals will come along side the business owners to provide accountability, encouragement and motivation. Volunteer Mentors are individuals with a background in business and/or experience in helping others.
The mentoring process helps ensure that borrowed funds are used for the stated purpose and that scheduled loan payments are made. Mentoring will require about two to three hours of time each month for each business owner.
Bootstrap America is a faith-based organization utilizing biblical principles such as providing for the poor, working hard and repaying debt.
