Target Communities

Identification of target geographic areas is important to the mission of Bootstrap America.  By concentrating our limited capital in defined, economically disadvantaged communities, our program can have a larger impact.

The Board of Directors has selected the city of El Mirage, Arizona, and a community called "The Original Town Site" within the city of Surprise, Arizona, as its first target communities.

As loan funds become available and success is demonstrated in these locations, other low-income and economically depressed geographic areas will be considered and added to the list of target communities.
