Bootstrap America is a charitable, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization offering micro-loans of $1,000 or less to individuals desiring to start or expand a small business in economically disadvantaged communities in the Western Maricopa Enterprise Zone in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Building business is one of the great strengths of America!  Many people believe they can work hard and achieve success.  But if you're among the poor, the disenfranchised, the ignored or the downtrodden, it's harder to believe.  Micro-enterprise programs open many new opportunities, one of which is business creation.

Where do we start?  Former Ohio Congressman, Tony Hall, asked Mother Teresa “How can we hope to solve the problems of the hungry when there are so many of them?” Her answer, “You do the thing that’s in front of you.”

So, we start in our own backyard!  Bootstrap America is a micro-loan enterprise.  It starts with a dream and a small loan of $1,000 or less to help start or expand a small business.  We receive donations and grants so we can provide loans to qualified candidates in our target areas. We provide the support and tools they need to become successful small business owners.
